Drafting
This is my latest magazine draft, I am generally happy with the layout but I now intend to change the masthead and add a subsidiary image. I obviously also need to add extra cover lines and make the main cover line bold and more easily readable. I am also in the process of creating a banner at the bottom of the page, to which I will add more content.

Looking at Contents Pages
I really like the neat layout of Kerrang!'s contents pages. There is a clear, eye catching main image which stretches across half of the page. Whilst a banner is used to establish the band and the page references are listed below. Kerrang! consistently sticks to codes and conventions by using the main colours of yellow, black, white and red. A personal touch is added with the editor's note, and the magazine is further promoted by the use of subscription offers.
When creating my contents pages, I chose a strong main image. I then aimed to use around 4/5 additional images. I alternatively made my contents pages a double page spread however. I have used my own original photography of concerts to surround my page references for gig dates, which I hope looks effective.

Music Magazine Drafts
These are some of my first drafts of my music magazine using Indesign.
On this second draft, I have added an image. I removed the background of
the initial image by using Photoshop, in order to make the image stand out more.
